Grand Lake Metropolitan Recreation District
Situated in the Arapahoe National Recreation Area, the Grand Lake Metropolitan Recreation District offers hiking trails, mountain biking and disc golf in the summer and fall months, all of which are dog-friendly activities. The GLMRD just asks to either keep your furry friends on a leash or be sure they are under good voice command.
Monarch Lake
Looking for an awesome dog-friendly hike with some amazing views? Monarch Lake is your spot. Monarch Lake Trailhead is located near Lake Granby and requires all dogs to be on leash.
The Beach at Grand Lake
The Beach at Grand Lake is one of our favorite spots for guests to enjoy some outdoor time with their pups! Located just a 5 minute walk from Spirit Lake Lodge, the beach is a public area downtown where dogs and owners can bask in the sun and brave the brisk water of Grand Lake. This spot is a must!
Pet-Friendly Restaurants
While there may be restaurants who do not allow dogs indoors, there are a number of wonderful spots with great dog-friendly patios! Enjoy live music outdoors at Rockies, immerse yourself in the bustle of the boardwalk at Sagebrush, or take in the views of Grand Lake at Miyauchi’s Snack Bar. No matter where you choose to go, grab your pup and enjoy a bite to eat!
Spirit Lake Lodge
Here at Spirit Lake Lodge, your furry friends are always welcome! While the majority of our rooms are pet-friendly, we do ask for guests to let the front desk know about their pet(s) prior to check-in. Our pet fee is $30 per pet/per night. We look forward to your stay!
